The Lake District Adventure tour will take you to places in The Lake District you thought didn't (or couldn't) exist. Your driver & tour escort will give you an insight into The Lakes on the journey their and then keep you fully informed and advised as to points of interest and general knowledge regarding the ever-changing views and scenery.

This sightseeing tour has been carefully routed and planned with your driver carefully tailoring the day to suit the weather, atmosphere and ambience of the general group on board. This makes every tour unique, special and memorable and allows you to partake in as much (or little) as you feel comfortable with. You will never be put under any commitment or pressure to do anything that you don't wish to.

Bus tours commence at 8:00am on selected Sundays (other days subject to a minimum of 8 passengers) with further collection points from convenient locations, including Tourist Offices, Hotels, Caravan Parks, etc. arranged by request. You will, of course, be dropped off at the same point at around 7:00pm after your wonderful day!

After your partially narrated and entertaining journey to The Lake District using motorways and "A" roads (making this as quick as possible), we'll arrive at town of Bowness where you will have the option of taking a 40-minute narrated lake cruise to Ambleside.

Then we shall do what BusyBus is famous most for - navigating some of the most spectacular roads in Britain taking in the stunning ever-changing panoramic views of the Langdale Valley. We'll stop at The Old Dungeon Ghyll for some refreshments before arriving back in Grasmere.

Here we'll explore the life and times of William Wordsworth, where he spent much of his life in Rydal Mount and Dove Cottage before being buried in the graveyard next to the World famous Sarah Nelson's Gingerbread Shop. Of course you can go in and sample this delicacy.

From here we'll proceed back to Windermere where further shops can be explored or perhaps a visit to The World Of Beatrix Potter can be enjoyed.

It really is a great day out in all weather conditions and BusyBus will be proud to be part of your very special memories of this very special place.
